Twenty-one teams go for three gold medals at U17 box lacrosse championships

A trio of champions will be crowned this week as some of the top U17 lacrosse players get set to battle for provincial supremacy.


Twenty-one teams will take to the floor in three divisions (A1, A2 and B) as part of the 2024 BCLA Minor Box Lacrosse Provincial Championships, running July 25-28 at Langley Events Centre and the Aldergrove Community Centre. 



It is being hosted by the Langley Minor Lacrosse Association, which has teams in all three divisions.

Joining Langley in the A1 Division will be Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Ridge Meadows and Saanich.


The A2 Division is split into two four-team pools with Chilliwack, Comox Valley, Langley and Port Moody in one group, while the other features Coquitlam, Delta/Surrey, Nanaimo and North Okanagan.


The B Division also has eight teams with Pool A featuring Abbotsford, Langley, Saanich and the Sunshine Coast, while Pool B contains Burnaby, Peninsula, Penticton and West Kootenay.


All three gold medal games will all be played at Langley Events Centre on the final day (July 28) beginning at 8:30am and will be broadcast for free at www.tfsetv.ca.
